The wage agreement policy of the AdC is defined by a number of key convictions that are shared by all member companies.

The industry’s employees are seen as a critical factor in its success. For this reason, their pay must be appropriate to their performance and must be attractive. Considerable value is placed in addressing social concerns.

The cigarette industry with the jobs it provides competes actively on an international stage. The AdC’s wage agreement policy is always based on the principle that it creates and maintains jobs.

The AdC is a proponent of active partnership with employee representatives. Solutions are found jointly with employee representatives. The primary focus is on discussing mutual interests and needs, not ritualised conflict.

Our negotiating partner is the German Union for Workers in the Foodstuffs, Tobacco, Drinks and Public Houses Industry (Gewerkschaft Nahrung-Genuss-Gaststätten or NGG).
